When we originally released our first Sloe Gin in late 2024 we had no idea the excitment we would cause. From gin drinkers and Sloe Gin die-hards who loved the complexity, to wine drinkers who compared it to a port, the feedback was the same and you voted with your hard-earned and bought up quick. Then we scored a silver medal with a score of 92 from the IWSC, one of the biggest International spirits competitions. Because of this we knew we had to start working on a second batch and now, 12 months later we are ready to release it.
Ben, worked tirelessly to make sure this second release was as delicious as the first, going back to our roots by adopting the citrusy style of the Signature gin, adding pink grapefruit to give an additional layer to the already rich and spice-filled gin. If you’re familiar with the first batch you’ll notice Ben has really honoured the earthiness and richness of the plum-like sloe berries with warm aromatic spices like cinnamon, clove and ginger as well as nuttiness that comes from almonds and sandalwood nuts bringing everything together into a gin that is warm, syrupy and decadent. Although this is not the exact same as the first batch we think we got it pretty close and hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
